Meet the HVRI Team

The Hazards Vulnerability and Resilience Institute (HVRI) at the University of South Carolina is one of the nation's leading research institutes dedicated to understanding how communities experience, respond to, and recover from hazards and disasters. Established in 1995, HVRI has spent over three decades working directly with communities, state agencies, and federal partners to advance research that makes a practical difference. Based in Columbia, South Carolina, our team brings that same commitment to the state's agricultural community through the "Your Voice" landscape study.
